What You Need:
(1) Solera TR-Clear (2) Honeycomb Firing Tray (3) Platinum Foil
Procedure
Place a tab of Solera TR-Clear on its side, on an "L" shaped piece of platinum foil. Then simply fire the material on the first dentine bake. Allow tab to cool.
After cooling place your tab of Solera TR-Clear over newsprint. While gently pressing on your tab you should be able to read the print through your fired tab of porcelain.
If you are unable to read the print, or you feel you might be able to obtain a better result, fire a new tab at an increased temperature of 20 °F, or 10 °C. Repeat this procedure until you have obtained the desired result.
Once you have obtained the desired result (This may involve firing several tabs) adjust all furnace firing cycles (including degassing) accordingly. It is possible that you may need to raise temperatures by as much as 70 °F.

Quick Tips
- Don't vibrate Solera - Blot it with a tissue
- After build up - Avoid placing your restoration on a tissue - Solera likes to go into the oven wet. It's always best to place your restoration directly on a peg.
- Prior to firing Solera bridges - Cut back interproximally down to the opaque.
Advantages
- Solera has a wide CTE range (13.8 - 15.2).
