Overview of the Captek Fabrication Process
Step 1: Die Preparation

Pour Master Model and Prepare Captek Refractory Die.
- The master die is properly spaced and undercuts are blocked out.
- The master die is placed in the proper size duplication flask and a high quality silicone (Capsil) is poured into the flask around the master die(s). This is allowed to set for 35 min.
- The master die is removed from the hardened silicone and an accurate high temperature refractory is poured into the new silicone mold. Allow 35 min. to set.
- The refractory die is properly heat-treated. The margins are marked with a red pencil and an adhesive (Captek Adhesive) is applied to the die. Let air set for 15 minutes.
